Are you an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker with expertise in supporting clients with mental health challenges and aggressive behavior? If you are dedicated to providing quality care and have a strong understanding of therapeutic interventions, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Mental Health Support Worker specializing in clients with aggressive behavior.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct support and guidance to clients with mental health conditions, particularly those exhibiting aggressive behavior, in a caring and empathetic manner.
- Implement behavior management strategies and therapeutic interventions to support clients in managing and reducing aggressive behaviors.
- Collaborate with the care coordinators team to develop individualized care plans based on clients' needs, goals, and preferences.
- Conduct risk assessments and inform care coordinator to minimize potential harm to clients and others.
- Monitor clients' mental health status and aggressive behavior patterns, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate professionals.
- Assist clients in developing coping skills, anger management techniques, and appropriate social interactions.
- Create a safe and supportive environment that promotes independence, dignity, and respect for all clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress, incidents, or observations related to aggressive behavior.

**Requirements**:

- 2-3 years of experience working as a Mental Health Support Worker or in a similar role, with a focus on supporting clients with mental health challenges and aggressive behavior.
- In-depth knowledge of mental health conditions and a strong understanding of therapeutic approaches and behavior management techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing behavior modification plans and de-escalation techniques for clients displaying aggressive behavior.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address aggressive behavior and promote positive outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential client records.
- Relevant certifications or training in mental health support and behavior management will be highly regarded.
