Your Opportunity As the Head of Department (Curriculum), you will: Lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives Participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division Develop the quality of teaching and learning Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders. The Head of Department (Curriculum) is accountable to and under the direction of the Principal or delegate. Your Responsibilities As the Head of Department (Curriculum), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Lead curriculum initiatives in alignment with school and departmental priorities. Lead the implementation of the Australian Curriculum in all classrooms through three levels of planning. Develop the quality of teaching and learning through the implementation of evidence-based pedagogical practices that support learning for all students. Lead and facilitate planning days, PLTs, professional development sessions, communities of practice, mentoring, coaching, and all curriculum-related processes. Nurture positive relationships among students, teachers, and stakeholders. The Head of Department (Curriculum) is a key member of Park Ridge State School's leadership team and is accountable to, and under the direction of, the Principal or delegate.
