**Environmental Services Worker (Kitchen Hand/Server)**

**About the role**

An opportunity exists for an Environmental Services Worker to join our team at Sunnymeade Park Aged Care Community in the delivery of services to our residents. You will be a hands-on individual looking for diversity in a role.

Your role will be varied but centred on activities such as:
Contributing to a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents, visitors and staff to improve the quality of life for residents;
Assisting with the preparation of meals and maintenance of the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment;
Help with serving of meals, including setting up and cleaning the dining room, trolleys and meal trays;
Shifts on offer are 8 days p/ft, 2pm-7pm (40 hours p/ft)

**Duties**
- Assisting with basic, general food preparation
- Serving our residents meals and snacks in a supportive approach that empowers our resident's choices and independence
- Cleaning down of dining areas, cleaning and dishwashing
- Maintaining legislated food hygiene and safety practices

**Essential Skill Competencies and Experiences**
- Following instructions
- Time, task and priority management
- English Literacy and numeracy skills
- Previous experience gained in a similar food preparation serving role
- Excellent English verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be willing to complete a criminal history check

**Highly Desirable Competencies and Experiences**
- Cert III Hospitality
- Commercial kitchen experience
- Aged care food preparation resident serving experience highly regarded
- Experience in a hygiene controlled environment
- Knowledge of food hygiene control

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour
