About the Role

This permanent, full-time role will be based at our Bayswater Power Station in the Hunter Valley, NSW.

What you’ll be doing:
- Performing routine and unplanned maintenance, minimising breakdown time and ensuring reliability of plant and equipment- Fault-finding, identification and resolution of issues with plant and equipment- Planning and organising tasks and managing your own workload, within reasonable expectations- Actively contributing to knowledge and skill development within the team- Supervising apprentices on-the-job, ensuring standard and quality of work are assessed and maintained- Assessing and initiating appropriate safety checks

About You

You will be a team player with an exemplary safety record and motivated to achieve a high standard of work.

What you’ll bring to the table:
- Mechanical trade qualification. Advanced qualifications are highly desirable- Strong safety awareness and proven safety record- Experience in a heavy industry environment- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently- Problem-solving and planning skills- A positive approach to supporting and coaching apprentices- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders on technical matters- Adaptable to adjust to competing work priorities- Willingness and ability to work reasonable overtime as required- Experienced in the use of MS Office products and an integrated IT System and CMMS such as SAP
