SUBEDITORDEPARTMENT OF PARLIAMENTARY SERVICES
About the roleAs a Hansard Subeditor you you play a crucial role in the operations of the Victorian Parliament by ensuring the provision of an accurate and prompt report of the proceedings of the Victorian Parliament. Working closely with the Assembly and Council editors, you will assist in the production of Hansard, monitor and update reporting policies and practices as necessary, and advise on communications and information technology systems to ensure the work produced is of a high standard.
Your work will bring the Parliament to the people.
- Highly developed editorial, grammatical and comprehension skills.
- A thorough knowledge of the principles of the Westminster system of parliamentary democracy as practised by the Parliament of Victoria.
- A good understanding of relevant technologies and best practice CIT policies.
