We are looking for compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our team and support participants in engaging with their communities and achieving their goals.

**Position Summary.**

The community Participation role involves working closely with NDIS participants to support them in accessing and participating in their community. This includes accompanying clients to social outings, appointments, recreational activities, educational programs, and other community-based experiences that build confidence, independence, and social skills.

**Key Responsibilities.**

Support participants to engage in community, social, and recreational activities as per their NDIS goals.

Encourage skill development in areas such as communication, travel training, budgeting, and social interaction.

Promote inclusion and independence through meaningful community engagement.

Support clients with transportation to and from activities or appointments (as needed).

Maintain accurate and up-to-date progress notes, incident reports, and documentation.

Work collaboratively with participants, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality person-centred support.

Follow individualised support plans, risk assessments, and organisation policies and procedures.

Report concerns about a participant's well-being to the relevant supervisor or manager.

**Essential Criteria**

Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or similar (or working towards).

Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Understanding of professional boundaries, privacy, and confidentiality.

Flexibility to work across various shifts including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.

**Desirable.**

Experience supporting individuals with disability in community access roles.

Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.

Multilingual skills or experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Pay: $24.11 - $53.34 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
