Underwriting Analyst

**About the Client***

We are representing a large and established organisation who are pushing the boundaries in terms of innovation and the development of propositions across a range of different insurance lines.

**About the Role***

As an Underwriting Analyst, you’ll support the Head of Underwriting by developing and optimizing underwriting solutions. Your role will involve analyzing data, providing insights, and delivering underwriting solutions and queries.

**Key Responsibilities***
- **Product & Underwriting** **Optimisation***:

- Drive change and challenge the status quo for continuous improvement.
- Manage raw data insights and create meaningful insights.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- **Underwriting Platform & System Performance**:

- Monitor underwriting reports to identify performance improvements.
- **Internal Underwriting Management**:

- Provide daily sign-offs and manage underwriting queries.
- Support claims outcomes with underwriting data.
- Escalate and resolve any inconsistencies.

**What We’re Looking For***
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities, with a creative approach to challenges.
- A strong ability to manage raw data in Excel
- An ability to communicate your ideas and insights to internal stakeholders and manage objections.
- Ideally 1 - 2 years of insurance exposure
- Underwriting experience preferential
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your workload independently.
- Experience in the life insurance industry.
