Hays in Geelong are currently partnered with a large public sector organisation located in Geelong CBD, Victoria.
We are seeking to appoint **Scrum Master on 6 months contract with potential extension**.
**Your new role**
You will be responsible to lead 2 delivery squads (Website and Salesforce BAU) providing direction to, and coaching/mentoring of, team members. You will also be responsible for implementing tools and techniques to empower efficiency, effectiveness, and adaptability in an Agile way of working.
**Key Deliverables**:
- Promote the continuous improvement of both Website and Salesforce BAU teams using key Agile principles and Scrum ceremonies.
- Supporting the team during the iteration, increasing the team’s likelihood of achieving its iteration goals and objectives.
- Support Iteration execution by facilitating successful scrum events, collaborating with the PO and improving flow utilising Kanban
- Ensure the Business and Development teams are working harmoniously by advocating transparency and collaboration.
- Assist the Product Owner and Development team in conducting and optimising the release pipeline by organising features into regular sprints.
- Coordinate and work in direct contact with Senior Leaders, Product Owners, Project Managers, teams and others on processes and behaviours that align with Agile best practices.
- Work as a SME on Agile principles and leading industry practices and as required, will interact with and present to various leadership levels of the organization.
- Develop reports as appropriate for consumption by Senior Leaders and help them establish a system of metrics to assess and improve its overall team performance
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience as Scrum Master / Iteration Manager with hands-on delivery experience guiding digital/software teams in Agile techniques and methodologies.
- Agile (e.g., Scrum, Lean, XP) project management frameworks Accreditations would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated expertise in Agile delivery methodologies including but not limited to; DevOps, Agile, Scrum, Continuous Delivery.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team to deliver high-quality services in short delivery cycles.
- Able to influence team members by articulating the reasoning/science behind the methods.
- Excellent communication and Stakeholder management skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal and Organisational skills with strong customer focus
