An annual production of more than 16 million pump units makes Grundfos one of the world’s leading pump manufacturers. Circulator pumps for heating and air-conditioning as well as other centrifugal pumps for the industry, water supply, sewage and dosing are the main products. Today Grundfos is the world’s largest manufacturer of circulators, covering app. 50% of the world market of these pumps.
In addition to pumps Grundfos produces standard and submersible motors as well as state-of-the-art electronics for monitoring and controlling pumps. Additional products are produced in the BioBooster and Lifelink divisions, which are part of the company’s new business activities. Grundfos has also introduced Grundfos Blueflux, which is a new technology-label, which insures that the equipment is among the absolute best in the market.

We are a collaborative team responsible for promoting and securing a solid portfolio of Grundfos products and services for customers within the Grundfos Water division. Daily, we are in close dialogue with wholesalers, installers, consultants, and other technical personnel with our clients as trusted business partners.
As the Sales Manager, your primary duties will revolve around the financial and people performance of the team within the groundwater & irrigatoin sector. You will ensure creating and executing tactical plans, ensuring profitable sales growth through a differentiated value proposal. Lastly, you will be responsible for team leadership, retaining, attracting, and developing key talents within the team. This role will be based in our office in Luscombe, Queensland.
**In summary, your day-to-day tasks will be to**:
- Responsibe for sales and marketing activities in the area of Queensland, New South Wales and New Zealand.
- Execution of the division tactical plan.
- Achieving financial targets including sales growth, margin, and expense management.
- Promoting a sell-through mindset, through the development of relationships with key end users, ensuring we are meeting their expectations and can develop differentiated solutions.
- Championing Sales Excellence utilising CRM as a management tool and improving effectiveness and hit rates.
- Collaborate with Key Account Managers (KAM) to promote sales and profitability through National Partnerships.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders in the budget and planning process to support the performance unit to achieve set goals.
- Promote good relations with distributors, consultants, and end users, maintaining and developing personal contact with major customers (buying and non-buying).
- Identify and implement opportunities within the performance unit to increase SOW and potential growth areas.
- Lead and motivate all direct reports in line with the Grundfos Leadership principles.
- Develop a high-performance team through collaborative performance management, recognised by example, recognition and presence, recruitment, and onboarding.
- Any other duties commensurate with the position as required.
**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Tertiary studies in disciplines i.e. sales management, marketing, and business management in addition to a foundation technical qualification (Trade or Engineering) are desirable qualifications
- Demonstrable experience effectively developing and executing tactical plans and experience initiating and facilitating change
- Demonstrable experience adopting Sales Excellence principles and fact-based decision-making and good at ensuring prioritising agendas
- SAP CRM experience is desirable for the role
