As an Economic Analyst, you'll partner with the e-Commerce squads responsible for new ventures to drive strong commercial decision-making with optimisation resources.
**Tasks include**:
- Assessing solution options across all key elements; from a customer, risk, technology, and user perspective before inception and build.
- Provide better practice guidance/templates/tools to improve reporting.
- Study the government policies and current status of the e-commerce industry, prepare reports on company development, including financial expenditure forecasting, potential external investments, and cash flow reports, and come up with corresponding proposal strategies.
- Prepare market research reports on consumer lifestyles and consumer trend analysis periodically and study the change and possible effect of the consumer price index (CPI) on the e-commerce industry.
- Research and analyze the new consumption hotspots, including top-selling products, consumption behaviour trending, industry trending, etc. Provide operation and purchasing managers with reliable predictions to make a strategic approach for future development.
- Study the effect of the exchange rate changes on imported products and essential consumables and prepare a forecast report regarding purchasing plan for the company in a certain period.
- Analyze the impact of domestic and international economic trends on users' future consumer power trends, and forecast recent and future import and export product categories, and price ranges.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities and understand the impact on resource and funding allocations.
- Study and analyze the management costs, labor costs, industry policies and benefits, and latest training protocols in similar industries and give corresponding reports and optimization plans.
- Assess the company's management and personnel structure, evaluate the relationship between organization costs and corporate capacity to manage any unprecedented cost increase, and prepare corresponding reports for the CEO.
- Provide management with regular analysis of operation data, including but not limited to analysis of management costs, personnel costs, sales data, user behaviour, user analysis, etc.
- Regularly provide analysis and suggestions of industry data related to company growth planning and management structure set for the CEO and assist the management in determining the feasibility of any new project.
- Research on industry chain and investigate the profit pattern with the management;
- Assist CFOs in financing planning, short, medium
- and long-term financial planning, return on investment evaluation, etc.
**The qualification and key skills required for this role include**:
- Substantial experience in growth-oriented strategy
- Demonstrated ability in scoping and structuring strategic problems using applicable strategic frameworks
- Demonstrated ability in the advanced financial, business case, and other quantitative analysis
- Demonstrated Experience in delivering strategic projects including leading or coordinating working groups
- Experience presenting recommendations to all levels of management including identifying appropriate communication methods and techniques
- Strong Powerpoint and Excel skill
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a very fast paced and high-pressure environment
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Fluency in both English and Chinese
- Strong and solid skills in getting accurate and up-to-dated information
- Work full time in Sydney office and Frequent travel required
**Employment Experience**
Minimum 2-year relevant work experience is required
