**The opportunity**
The primary purpose of The PMO Analyst is to perform project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established objectives, with a focus on:
- Engagement with stakeholders to gather and understand business needs and requirements to inform services and products delivered by the DSI team and TEI branch
- Developing and improving program and project management frameworks, tools processes and reporting based on SAFe, Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Ensure Project Management Community are following finance processes in liaison with the finance team
As a PMO Analyst, you will be expected to:
- Work with the Program Manager and stakeholders to deliver and maintain a backlog of project and initiatives that respond to business needs and strategic outcomes
- Provide support to delivery teams to adhere to project delivery frameworks and process, standards, and best practice
- Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, writing of business cases, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology
- Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes
- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans
- Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables
- Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning

**About you**
- Work in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple and competing projects concurrently, to tight deadlines.
- Build a professional and productive relationship with internal and external parties that may have conflicting view and priorities
- Translate and present technical information across a diverse group of both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ideally you will also have:
- Proven understanding of project delivery methodologies and lifecycles and program management functions.
- Experience of facilitating workshops, focus groups and walk-throughs with the aim of eliciting information, obtaining validations and approvals.
**Salary and Benefits**
This position is a Transport Grade 8 ($120,423 - $ 134,872) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading
