**The Role**
- Under EL1 direction, plan, manage and support Integrated Support System (ISS) activities to enable the Project-specific ISS/Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) outcomes within the broader Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC), to support AIR6500 Series Projects.
- Support the EL1 Program System of Systems (SoS) Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager by executing ISS/ILS activities that support project and Program deliverables.
- Provide ILS support to AIR6500 Series projects throughout the Capability Life Cycle. Subsets of specialist work will include contributions to combinations of the following work areas either as discrete workload or support to specialist staff (as defined by individual position descriptions and as required through dynamic workload assignment):
- SoS Life Cycle Costing (LCC)
- Materiel Logistics Governance & Assurance
- ILS Planning and Process development
- Acquisition Support to Projects
- Agency Agreements
- Program ILS team interface activities with project Integrated Project Teams
- Government Furnished Material (GFM or GFx [‘x’ denoting various subordinate furnished item types]) Management; “Materiel” is a subset of Material
- Technical Data Management
- ILS Engineering and Maintenance Functions, and
- Product Transition support
- Participate in Project/ Program progress reviews with AIR6500 Series PDO and Program Leads.
- Represent CASG on ILS-specific, and other, meetings and reviews with industry, as required.
- Support ILS team leadership in carrying out strategic, operational and tactical tasks, knowledge transfer and participate in ISS/ILS Training, Coaching and Mentoring.
- Support the development, delivery and implementation of ISS/ILS strategies, plans and artefacts including but not limited to Support Concept, Logistics Support Strategies, Integrated Logistics Support Plans, ILS Instructions, and Transition Plans.
- Support the analysis and interpretation of Program, Project and Functional ILS risks through the Risk Register and official reporting.
- Deliver Support System Constituent Capability (SSCC) elements and other support requirements for AIR6500 projects IAW scheduled milestones.
- Contribute and adhere to the ISS/ILS Schedule, and negotiate and adjust schedule with Project schedulers as needed to meet scheduled milestones.
- Effectively coordinate, communicate and collaborate with the ILS Team, FIC Coordination & Integration (FIC C&I) Team, Project and Program Management Teams and Senior Leadership.
- Assist with complex/international procurement activities, and international and domestic import/export arrangements through Defence export controls specialist agencies.
- Develop, nurture and effectively manage stakeholder relationships with the Capability Manager (Air Force Headquarters), Air Force customer units, other Defence Organisations and industry.
**About our Team**
Air Defence Systems Branch is engaging in the delivery of series of projects and as part of Defence’s Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) capability program.
The two key projects this role will support are:
- AIR6500 PHASE 1 Joint Air Battle Management System (JABMS) will provide command and control systems, and communications systems that interface with air, maritime and land systems.
- AIR6502 PHASE 1 Medium Range Ground Based Air Defence (MGRBAD), will provide air Defence effect capable of providing force protection.
It’s an exciting time to join the Branch as these projects will consolidate and transform the ADF’s individual air Defence capabilities into a persistent, layered, scalable, integrated and allied-interoperable air and missile. Defence architecture over the next two decades and beyond.
