**Your New Role**
In this **full-time role as** **Schools and Youth Engagement Officer, **you will implement projects and initiatives in line with state-wide strategies aimed at growing schools and youth awareness and participation to the Society's good works. Having a proven interest for and experience in working with children and youth are important to be able to develop focused and effective engagement strategies. Your strong communication and collaboration skills are equally critical to your success in this role.
**Responsibilities of the role**:
- In consultation with the Regional Director, implement specific projects to strengthen youth engagement within the South region
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of social justice initiatives for schools and youth within the region
- Actively contribute and participate in a variety of events and activities, including fundraising
- Support the delivery of timely and relevant communications to schools and youth contacts through digital technology, social media etc
- Collate information and prepare documentation to support effective information flow.
**You will have**:
- Demonstrated experience in working with children and young people in an empowering capacity
- Experience in project implementation and delivery
- Proven effective engagement skills with young people and local schools
- Demonstrated collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate effectively utilising a variety of tools including digital technology and social media.
