Brine Street Child Care Centre is excited to announce a rare opportunity to join the team at Brine Street team in Hughesdale. Brine Street is the only Council owned and managed Child Care Centre within the City of Monash. We are a centre committed to excellence and have been rated under the National Quality Standards (NQS) as exceeding the National Quality Standards.
**About the Position**:
We are seeking a Kindergarten Additional Assistant to work part time (0.6) with children aged 3 years within our Long Day Care setting.
The Kindergarten Additional Assistant will work as a member of a team leady by a qualified kindergarten teacher delivering the three year old kindergarten program that is inclusive of all children in the group and they will contribute to the development and wellbeing of each child within the group.
The successful applicant will be well supported and resourced through collaboration with experienced, enthusiastic and highly qualified co-workers.
**Skills and Experience**:
Knowledge of “inclusion” and how this applies in the kindergarten environment
Knowledge and understanding of the developmental needs of children aged 0-6 years including how children learn;
Knowledge of supervision and engagement with children;
Knowledge of children’s behaviour and possible impacts on the kindergarten group;
Knowledge of the National and Victorian Early Years Learning Frameworks (VEYLDF) and National Quality Framework (NQF);
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable;
**Requirement of the position**:
Current First Aid Certificates for an early years education and care setting
A valid working with children's check and police check (less than six months old) are required;
