Messaging & Collaboration Specialist

**About the Company**
Davidson Technology are currently partnering with a large Queensland State Government department that moves and connects people, places, goods and services safely, efficiently and effectively across Queensland.

They plan, manage, and deliver Queensland's integrated transport environment to achieve sustainable transport solutions for road, rail, air and sea.

We are seeking a A07 Messaging & Collaboration Specialist for an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month potential extensions. This role will be based in Carseldine, with hybrid work from home arrangements.

**About the Role**
In this role, you will be dedicated to the operational excellence and continual improvement of the organisations Collaboration Services technologies.

You will be required to:
Deliver outcomes in accordance with agreements made between Information Technology Branch and the rest of the business.

Manage deliverables which will usually take the form of operational technology changes and associated procedures documentation.

Elicit documents, reports, source code, methodologies produced by the Specified Personnel for the Customer

Function as a SharePoint Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Collaboration Project to implement a platform for staff to share and exchange information and enhance efficiencies by testing and leading business users to perform user acceptance testing (UAT), undertaking Change Management required by the project including creating project updates for all stakeholders as well as providing awareness and training sessions and online self-help guides for collaboration users.

Engage and interact with business users, facilitate workshops, and gather requirements for team process improvement.

Create governance documents for both Intranet and Collaboration user.

Manage and oversee the Intranet by providing quality advice and organising new information on the intranet in line with the existing information architecture.

Develop Search Scopes to improve search performance on Intranet and translate business requirements into SharePoint specification such as redesign of the Intranet Home page.

Standardise the Exchange CU update process using a series of scripts.

**About You**
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
Previous experience as a Collaboration Specialist, Lead Infrastructure Engineer (Experience commensurate with A07 level)

Experienced with collaboration tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint etc. (mandatory)

Proven and extensive experience in an agile and complex working environment.

Strong communicator in both written and verbal formats - proven ability to comfortably communicate technical and business concepts to a range of audiences.

Demonstrated skills in critical thinking in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.

Thrives in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt.

**The Benefits**

This opportunity offers you an initial 12-month contract with possible 2 x 12-month extensions, and an hourly rate of $85 - $105 per hour + Superannuation (negotiable).

The client offers flexible working conditions split between work from home and their Carseldine based office.
