**About the role**

**Reporting into the Head of Analytics**, the Lead Data Translator will be responsible for helping business leaders **identify and prioritise problems to be solved by Advanced Analytics**, based on which will create the highest value when solved using knowledge and understanding of both analytical and commercial/operational disciplines.

You will be **responsible for 2 experienced data translators** working with the **newly established Advanced Analytics team** across data science and data engineering to provide business solutions.

This role is suitable for someone who has **considerable experience leading a data science/engineering or analytics team**. Focused on having clear and solutions focused conversations with key stakeholders to improve the business. An understanding of the Microsoft Technology Stack is required for this role.

**Skills & experience**
- **3+ years experience leading a team of data scientists/data engineers/analysts**:

- Cloud experience with Azure is desired
- A strong commercial background and proven ability to spot opportunity, size and articulate it
- Conceptual knowledge of data and analytics, such as reporting as visualisation tools, data management
- **Exposure to and understanding of machine learning, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence**, statistics, and/or applied mathematics
- working knowledge of AI and analytics to convey these business goals to the data professionals who will create the models and solutions
- Bachelor's degree: Computer Science, MIS and/or Engineering preferred
