The role:
Australia’s most innovative food startup is looking for someone to feed its feed. Vow is seeking a one-of-a-kind social media and brand guru to pioneer a digital tribe of obsessed customers for our cultured meat products. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with creativity, drive, and a passion for sustainability to help lay the foundations for what social media marketing looks like at Vow, and ultimately help us make this revolution irresistible as we craft a whole new category of food - cultured meat.
You will be responsible for the way that Vow and our first brand speak, act, sing, dance, and live in its interactions with our audience across social channels. We’re looking for someone that thrives on generating ideas for organic engaging content and then coordinating with a creative collaborative to turn these ideas into reality. In addition to this, you’ll help write the strategic playbook for how we build digital tribes for our future products and brands, and parent brand.
This role is perfect for someone who loves growing audiences, jumping across social platforms and initiating conversations and engagements with followers, personalities, like-minded brands, and food industry partners. You have an eye for great content, both verbal and visual, and know how to surprise and delight people through it.
The skills you will bring:
- You have a track record of building brands in the digital sphere, combining strategy, creativity, and organisational wizardry to deliver content that converts.
- A tribe, community and human
- centric mindset: bringing people together and in alignment with brands online is your bread and butter.
- You have a passion for all things social and are at the cutting edge of social media trends and best practices.
- Possess an analytical approach to strategy and experience with analytics tools to drive and optimise content.
- You effectively balance a keen eye for what makes good content, constantly refining how to speak to and in the voice of the customer in both verbal and visual ways.
- Strong aptitude for engaging storytelling and excellent written communications.
- An infectious passion for sustainability, food, culture and technology.
- You’re a natural leader and excellent at project management, especially in terms of engaging a collaborative of creatives and freelance producers to deliver impactful content.
- Excited by the opportunity to work in a fast-paced start up and building a product and brand that users love.
- Exposure to the Singaporean market, or previous experience living in Singapore, is a plus.
You will:
- Own social media from strategy and planning to scheduling and posting, with the clear goal of growing a highly engaged community of followers online.
- Manage creative direction and briefing requirements for content production, including fostering strong relationships with content creators and collaborators. You’ll initiate, develop and nurture these relationships to ensure we deliver epic content.
- Master our first brand’s voice across social platforms, shaping online communities and their cultures. You’ll craft creative and compelling copy consistent with the Vow and first product brand voices.
- Lead customer communication, moderating comments and community posts - and connecting with internal points of contact to acquire answers to customer questions.
- Constantly analyse data and trends to ensure we are making quantitative decisions to shape our brands in the digital sphere. You are unafraid to draw upon techniques like A/B testing and iteration to ensure we are always optimising content to learn more about our tribe.
- Engage with like-minded and brand-aligned accounts to further develop community and collaboration opportunities.
- Constantly trying to understand how we make our tribe feel and why when they interact with our brands.
What success looks like:
In your first month, you’ll rapidly get up to speed on all things Vow, cultured meat, and our first product and brand. From there, you’ll dive straight into supporting our efforts to prepare for launch at the end of the year, leaning heavily into content strategy, planning and executing in collaborative with creative partners. Meanwhile you’ll work side by side with our Product team to test and validate things like our first product value proposition, positioning and messaging on social platforms. Your main focus will be to start building a tribe of highly engaged followers and owning the social media aspect of their conversion in our digital funnel.
