Maxima, in partnership with West Beach Parks Golf, are looking for a green thumb to undertake a fulltime traineeship within horticulture, specialising in golf turf.

West Beach Parks Golf is more than meets the eye. Home to two lush green courses, a 50 and 72 par, you can expect the accessibility of a public course with the facilities and quality of a private club. With a Pro-Shop, driving range and mini golf, this is the place for a casual hit after work or a serious tournament.

Across 3-years you will gain hands-on work experience by assisting to maintain the turf to a high standard and receive paid study time towards achieving a nationally recognised **Certificate III in Horticulture**.

**Duties Include**:

- Turf management including mowing and whipper snipping
- Golf course preparation
- Pest and weed control
- Irrigation maintenance and installation
- Rake sand bunkers
- Relocate holes

**About You**:

- Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools
- Strong work ethic; reliable and punctual
- Ability to prioritise time and tasks when working under pressure
- Works effectively within a team and unsupervised
- Great communication skills
- Have a can-do attitude and willing to learn

**Role Requirements**:

- Available to work between the hours of 5am-1pm
- Current driver’s licence (provisional or c-class)
- Physically fit and healthy due to undertaking manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar (advantageous)
