**Your responsibilities in supporting young people**:

- Promoting independence and assisting young people with their daily routines such as household chores, personal care, meal preparation, and educational support.
- Implementing and following the young person’s individualised plans (e.g. behaviour support plans, cultural support plans) and employing a trauma-informed lens.
- Supporting young people to community events, appointments and family visits.
- Administering medication (training provided).
- Writing high quality and accurate shift notes (training provided).
- Fulfilling our core values of caring, responsive, honest, and creative in your everyday support.

**Key Requirements**:

- Obtained or working towards Certificate III/IV/Diploma in Youth Work, or a Community Services related field.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate.
- NSW Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker Check.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- National Police Check within the last 12 months.
- A valid and current drivers’ licence, and your own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.
- Have at least two COVID-19 vaccinations (or provide medical exemption).
- Experience in managing challenging behaviours.
- Prior experience in supporting young people with various disabilities (highly desirable).
- A current certificate in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (highly desirable).

** Willingness to obtain the necessary requirements prior to commencement of employment is acceptable.**

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $40.26 - $48.25 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Shift work

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates
