We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic full-time Piano Teacher to join our professional teaching faculty. This role offers the unique opportunity to not only inspire and mentor students in their musical journey, but also to step into a leadership role within our school’s executive team. Ideal for a musically talented educator with aspirations to contribute strategically and help shape the future direction of our school.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach individual and group piano lessons across a range of ages and skill levels
Deliver engaging and structured lessons that align with Forte’s curriculum and teaching philosophy
Prepare students for examinations, performances, and competitions
Foster a positive, motivating, and inclusive learning environment
Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and development
Collaborate with other staff members and contribute to team-based events, workshops, and concerts
(Executive Pathway) Take on additional responsibilities over time, such as mentoring new teachers, assisting with curriculum development, or participating in strategic planning and school management
What We’re Looking For:
A tertiary qualification in music or music education (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience teaching piano to children and adults
A passion for music education and student development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time-management abilities
A collaborative spirit and a willingness to contribute to the broader goals of the school
Leadership potential or prior leadership experience in an educational or arts setting (preferred)
A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)

Pay: $31.80 - $65.49 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
