**About the Unit**

The Financial Services Unit sits within the Chief Operating Officer portfolio and is a specialist unit that provides a broad range of professional, in-house financial services to the University’s executive, faculties, research, and administrative areas. We manage the University's financial obligations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, and insurance.

**About the Opportunity**

The Procurement Analyst will play a key role in supporting the procurement function at UOW by analysing data, identifying cost saving opportunities and maintaining the procurement contract register.

We are seeking a skilled individual who possesses high level interpersonal and communication skills to ensure strategic, well-informed purchasing decisions that align with the University’s goals.

**Key Responsibilities**

Your key responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

- Analyse procurement data for cost optimisation and process improvements.
- Manage and maintain the central procurement contract register.
- Review procurement contracts for clarity, consistency, and policy alignment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain reporting systems.
- Present reports on contract status and performance metrics to management.
- Stay updated with industry trends and implement improvements in data analytics.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have a high-level aptitude for analysing, interpreting and reporting on data, and:

- Experience with data analytic tools
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
