Qur'an Teacher

**Responsibilities**:

- Teach Qur'an to kids and adult Muslims
- Lead prayers and perform other related activities as directed by management
- Strong understanding of Makharaj and the rules ofTajweed
- Call Azan and perform other religious duties
- Assist in promoting social cohesion and encouraging youth to respect 1he law of the land
- Conduct research on Islamic issues facing the Muslim community
- Work under the direction of the Executive Committee of IAWSS Requirements:

- Minimum of l year of experience in teaching Qur'an and leading prayers
- Masters degree from an Australian University
- Minimum of2 years of teaching experience (preferably primary) in Australia
- Proficient in English, Urdu, and Arabic languages
- Strong understanding of Makharaj and the rules ofTajweed
- Good understanding of the Islamic faith
- Strong grip on 1he Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to counter fundamentalist narratives by presenting a true picture oflslam
- Punctuality, diligence, and regular presence is a must
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Flexible in working hours, including weekends and public holidays Soft Skills:

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
