Trainer and Assessor

Are you an experienced traffic management professional with a passion for training? Workmate Training Academy (WTA), a team committed to delivering quality outcomes through real-world best practice training, is looking for an additional Trainer/Assessor to join our Brisbane branch.

If you are not currently a qualified trainer, WTA will consider training you if you are wanting to start your training journey and meet the rest of our criteria.

**About the Role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Assess Learner Progress**: Monitor and evaluate learners' progress, providing feedback and guidance to help them achieve their accreditation.
- **Develop Course Materials**: Assist in creating and updating training materials to ensure they are current and relevant.
- **Ensure Compliance**: Teach and promote adherence to industry regulations and safety standards.
- **Mentor and Support Learners**: Offer continuous support to learners, answering questions and helping them gain confidence in their skills.
- **Stay Up-to-Date**: Keep informed about industry developments, best practices, and training techniques.
- **Collaborate with the Team**: Work closely with other trainers and staff to enhance the overall training experience.[GV1]

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years experience in TC/TMI is mandatory
- RIIWHS205E Control traffic with stop-slow bat (or equivalent)
- RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures (or equivalent)
- RIICOM201E Communicate in the workplace (or equivalent)
- RIIWHS302E Implement traffic management plans (or equivalent)
- Experience as a TMA Operator is highly regarded
- (or equivalent)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience as a trainer/assessor highly regarded even if not in an RTO
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage with a diverse range of trainees
- Understanding of contemporary training practices and methodologies
- Intermediate computer skills desirable

Pay: $30.55 - $34.00 per hour
