- Part Time Permanent Position available
- Join the Cardiology team to provide support to clinical areas Monday to Friday

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is part of the Parkville precinct and is co-located with the Royal Women's Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The Parkville precinct uses and electronic medical record.

Speciality services at RMH Cardiology include Adult Congenital Heart disease, complex electrophysiology, and structural cardiac intervention (TAVI, percutaneous valves, mitral clip, left atrial appendage closures, ASD and PFO closures

**Your new role**:

- Assist with patient transfers to and from the department, including the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Monday to Friday.
- Support in setting up and preparing the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adequate stock.
- Perform cleaning of bed spaces, the Catheter Lab, and relevant equipment, including procedural chairs and entry into CAFM system.
- Completion of daily high touch cleaning schedules (CAFM preventative maintenance)
- Handle removal and disposal of rubbish, recyclables, linen, and general waste.
- Cleaning of transoesophageal probes (TOES) with antigermix process and policy
- Always provide a high standard of patient care and ensure patient confidentiality
- Aid clinical staff with transfer of patients including repositioning, lifting and turning of patients (including with use of lifting equipment)

**About you**:

- Certificate III in Health (patient services)
- Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technical support
- Competency in antigermix and cleaning of TOE probes
- Availability to work full range of shifts
- A willingness to contribute to quality patient care
- Well-developed interpersonal skills including an ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families.
- Previous experience in an acute health care setting
