**The Role**

You will be working with the Facilities Manager to assist with the development and implementation of HSW policies and practices, aimed at providing a safe and healthy work environment with the aim of minimising accidents and associated costs.

***Key Role Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the education of Managers, supervisors, and staff on their responsibilities to reduce risk and manage hazards within the workplace.
- Co-ordinate HSW training sessions to ensure education systems are in place to achieve ongoing compliance and maintenance of a safe work environment.
- Promote B-safe and compliance with HSW legislation
- Review HSW policies and procedures to ensure current policy reflect HSW requirements.
- Conduct Safety Walks with Senior Management and Tool Box sessions with wages employees.
- Assist with Injury Management and Workers Compensation matters where required.
- Safety Audits
- Manage Safety Culture platform

**Requirements**:

- You must have full working rights in Australia
- Strong MS Office skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess strong numeracy skills.
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills.
- HSW Qualification is preferred
- Safety Culture Experience

**Nice to have**:

- Tertiary qualification with a relevant degree in HSW, would be a ‘nice to have’, but if you have had some work experience in the HSW area and are looking to take the next step in your career and would like to take up a traineeship in this field, for the right person this is something that would be considered. Or you may have your qualification and looking to enter the workforce we would love to have a chat with you.
