**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for the planning and implementation of an innovative and educational program that provides a warm and caring environment that enriches and enhances the children's lives and compliments their families’ beliefs.

The successful applicant will require:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent approved by ACECQA
- Valid Working with Children Check Clearance Number
- Child Protection course approved by the NSW Regulatory Authority (s162A Education and Care Services National Law) (or willing to obtain)
- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate as approved by ACECQA (or willing to obtain)
- Completion of Food Handler/Safety Training (or willing to obtain)
- Proven skills and experience in education and care, customer service, communication skills both written and verbal, computer operating systems and effective time management and organisational skills
- A solid understanding in Code of Conduct, Child Protection legislation, National Quality Framework - Education and Care Services Regulations, Children (Education and Care Services) National Law (NSW), National Quality Standards and The Early Years Learning Framework

**Position information**: There are two (2) term contract, part-time positions and one (1) permanent, part-time position available and will be required to work on a roster Monday to Friday, between 6:00am to 6:00pm.

These positions are located at the centres below, but may be required to work across any of Council's 13 Education and Care centres.

- **Wenty Children's Centre**
- A term contract (12 months), part-time position working Monday and Tuesday, 7 hours per day on a rotating roster
- **Friend Park Children's Centre**
- A term contract (12 months), part-time position working Wednesday and Thursday, 7 hours per day on a rotating roster
- **Pemulwuy Children's Centre**
- A permanent, part-time position working Monday and Friday, 7 hours per day on a rotating roster

**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 7 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,162.65 to $1,337.04 per week (pro-rata), plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
