**What You Will Be Doing**

The Graduate Mental Health Social Worker position represents an opportunity for a social work graduate interested in a career in mental health develop core mental health competencies through structured learning program over a 12-month period. A successful applicant will move into either an Aged Mental Health stream or Adult Mental Health stream where a six-month rotation between inpatient and residential services will occur. With a protected workload, weekly supervision and regular educational opportunities, this role is designed to enable and support transition to mental health practice and provide opportunities for ongoing employment within mental health services at Peninsula Health on completion.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Bachelor or Qualifying Master’s degree (MSWq) in social work enabling eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers.
- Knowledge of currently social work practices relevant to mental health and an ability to articulate theoretical basis for practice.
- Working knowledge of discipline specific legislation relevant to clinical practice.
- Ability to prepare written documentation using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.
