Hays is working closely with a State Government client to source a Web Developer to update their website

**Your new company**

You will be a part of a team who ensure the Australian community is informed and up-to-date on all things local services, public health and the relating policies

**Your new role**

You'll be able to contribute by working alongside the communication and strategic team, working towards delivering a website which is in alignment to user and business needs, whilst including the relevant legalisation and content design knowledge. During this role you will be using a combination of Squiz matrix, Drupal, and Sharepoint, as well as HTML, CSS and Javascript. You'll be doing this a means to update the website with relevant content, ensuring to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), search engine optimisation, and keep within the relevant business style guide.

**What you'll need to succeed**

You'll be successful if:

- You have proven Squiz matrix, Drupal, SharePoint, HTML, CSS, and Javascript experience.
- Prior experience working to maintain Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- Demonstrated experience with updating website and intranet content, whilst keeping to th style guide and advocating for user needs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be based in Canberra and able to work 2 days in the office
