About The Role

You'll support students with disabilities by leading high-quality teaching practices and implementing tailored adjustments that align with current legislation and policies. Collaborating closely with educators, families, and community stakeholders, you will promote an inclusive environment where every student has equitable access to learning opportunities. Your leadership will help foster positive outcomes and a culture of inclusion, ensuring all learners feel supported, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Your Responsibilities

As the Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide evidence-based advice and guidance to the school leadership team, classroom teachers, and other stakeholders to develop, plan, and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with additional needs.
Analyse student achievement data to inform and provide targeted intervention and case management for students requiring substantial or extensive support.
Establish and maintain school-wide systems to monitor student progress and oversee the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
Work closely with school leadership teams, teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative and inclusive approach to student success.
