Sydney, Australia Choice Business College Full time

Choice Business College is a rapidly growing CRICOS registered training provider, with campuses and practical training kitchens in Sydney, Parramatta, and Melbourne. We are currently seeking passionate and experienced Trainers and Assessors, to join our academic team, at our Sydney campus.

The successful applicant(s) will be able to deliver one or both the SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and/or SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management.

Note: We are looking for both casual and contractor trainers

Responsibilities will include:

- Deliver quality training and assessment in the SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and/or SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management. - both in the classroom//kitchen and virtual classroom (online) environments.
- Monitor and document students' attendance and course progress.
- Provide timely reports to the Lead Trainer and other stakeholders, indicating progress and risk issues relating to course and/or students.
- Participation in moderation and validation processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

You MUST be able to demonstrate:

- High-level written and oral communication skills.
- Minimum 3 years verifiable recent experience working in the hospitality industry - preferably at a supervisor level.
- At least 2-3 years verifiable teaching experience - specifically delivering the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management qualification.
- Experience in assessment validation and moderation practices.
- Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills with an ability to prioritise and manage own workload, meet deadlines (KPIs), and adapt to changing circumstances in accordance with organisation's policies and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work remotely, without direct supervision.
- Able to demonstrate teaching skills that employ a range of teaching techniques and resources that engage and motivate students.
- An ability to build supportive relationships with students.
- Moderate computer literacy (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).

You MUST hold:

- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - or higher qualification in adult education

Desired Skills and Experience:

- Hold a Commercial Cookery and/or Hospitality Management qualification or equilavant experience.
- Experience working with international, culturally diverse groups of students
- Experience with online learning platforms - e.g. Moodle
- Experience delivering learning to students online, in a virtual classroom environment
- Ability to deliver additional qualifications such as Diploma of Business or Diploma of Leadership and Management will be viewed favorably

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Subcontract, Casual

**Salary**: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
