- Full-time, Continuing position- Salary Academic T3 - T5 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements- Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, however, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University
About You
As a VE Teacher for Civil Engineering, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of your students by delivering engaging course material, assessing their progress, and guiding them in their educational journey. Your participation in ongoing reviews of course content and innovative teaching methods, including online approaches, fosters a dynamic learning environment.
- To be successful in this position, you’ll have:_
1. Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and
consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills
2. Skills and experience in competency-based assessment.
3. Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets
and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
4. Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge
5. Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose and implement
effective solutions.
6. Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.
7. Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
Qualifications- A qualification in the TAE 40122 (TAE40116) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its equivalent; or higher-level qualification in adult education- Advanced Diploma of Civil Engineering, similar or higher related qualification
