Broodmare Manager

Cityview Farm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced live in Broodmare Manager to join our team. Located in Gisborne South Victoria, Cityview Farm is a boutique farm that specialises in mares and foals, foaling down and weaning, sale preparations and spelling thoroughbreds.

As Broodmare Manager you will be expected to have excellent communication, organisational, and record keeping skills, and be able to manage a small team.

The role is hands on and the successful applicant must have experience in all facets of broodmare and foal management including but not limited to:

- Managing the daily running of the broodmare band and foals.
- Monitoring all other bloodstock and recognising injuries/health issues.
- Assisting and scheduling of routine vetting, farrier visits, feed suppliers and other related service providers.
- Developing and maintaining feed, vitamin and supplement schedules.
- Administration and coordination of medication.
- Foaling down, pre and post foaling care, foal handling and weaning.
- Yearling sale preparation.
- Managing a small team of staff.
- Liaising with clients.
- Transporting horses.

A current driver’s license and experience towing a float is essential.
