**Join Our Extraordinary Team as a Personal Care Attendant**

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Attendant to provide short-term care services for a client in Culburra Beach. Confidentiality and respect are essential, as the client’s family values privacy.

**Position Details**:

- **Service Period**: 20th December to 1st January (with 1st January only requiring morning care)
- **Schedule**: 1 hour twice a day (morning at 6:30am, afternoon at 4:00pm)
- **Ad-hoc Opportunities**: Potential for weekend services (Friday to Monday) when the client visits their holiday home.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Personal Care & Hygiene**: Assist with showering, dressing, and grooming. Support will vary based on the client’s needs each day.
- **Morning Routine**: Help with shower, oral care, dressing, and grooming. Prepare breakfast and a hot drink. Complete household tasks such as making the bed, changing linens, and tidying up the bedroom and kitchen.
- **Afternoon Routine**: Assist with shower, oral care, dressing, and grooming. Help with food preparation and placing meals in smaller containers for easy reheating.
- **Household Tasks**: As time allows, help with laundry, cleaning the bathroom, taking out rubbish, and general tidying.
- **Client-Centered Care**: Be attentive to the client’s needs, offering thoughtful gestures such as a foot massage or assisting with comfort adjustments. Always check if there are any other specific tasks the client would like completed.

**Cognitive Support**:

- The client does **not** experience memory loss or cognitive decline. They are cognitively intact and do not require dementia care.

- Ability to provide high-quality personal care while maintaining the client’s dignity.

**Note**: The client’s condition (Parkinson’s Disease) requires assistance, but they are otherwise independent and value maintaining as much autonomy as possible.

**ABOUT YOU**:
You are a fantastic communicator. You are not easily flustered and remain calm under pressure.

You enjoy being productive, reliable and getting things done, and because you are proactive and organised, you have a knack for helping people.

You know how to get your point across to be understood and you easily understand others. After having met you, people remember the way you made them feel. This is due to your natural warmth and the fact that you are a good listener.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Proven experience in aged care, disability, and home & community care
- Qualifications in Aged Care/Disability/Individual Support/Nursing
- A valid driver's license and dependable vehicle
- Current First Aid & CPR certifications
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or the eagerness to obtain one
- The ability to adapt to diverse shifts and locations.
