**About the Role**:
The Agriculture and Food Discipline at Curtin University is recruiting for a Lecturer (Level B) teaching-focused position in Food Science and Technology. The Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Food Science and Technology at Curtin are taught by a dedicated team within the Agriculture and Food Science Discipline.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Actively contribute to the organisation, planning, delivery and evaluation of teaching in Food Science and Technology.
- Demonstrate best practice, innovative teaching methods which enhance the student experience.
- Assess and provide feedback on student work, contributing to curriculum innovation and content design.
- Actively engage with the Agriculture and Food Science Discipline and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Promote the Agriculture and Food Science Discipline within and outside the University community by engaging in service and leadership roles, as well as outreach activities.
- In all interactions with staff and students, demonstrate the University values of integrity, respect, courage, excellence and impact.

**Who we're looking for - Selection Criteria**:
**_Essential Criteria:_**
- PhD in Food Science and Technology or related discipline and at least two years of post-doctoral research or industry experience
- Demonstrated high level teaching skills and a demonstrated reflective approach to teaching delivery.
- A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline and a record of contribution to the scholarship of teaching in the discipline.
- Demonstrated ability / experience / capacity to undertake unit coordination role.
- Demonstrated ability or potential to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects
- Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity.
- Demonstrated commitment to integrity, health and safety, equity and inclusivity.

**Role Requirements**:

- As this is a continuing position, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered. _Please note that visa sponsorship and/or relocation will _not_ be supported for this role._

**Your New Team-**School of Molecular and Life Sciences**:
Food Science and Technology courses are taught by a dedicated team within the Agriculture and Food Discipline, which is part of the highly dynamic School of Molecular and Life Sciences at Curtin University. The school encompasses 165 academic, research and professional staff, supporting learning to over 1000 students, and includes the Disciplines of Chemistry, Agriculture and Food, and Ecology.
