Your role at St John of God Ballarat
Our Oncology unit consists of 30 beds, Oncology experience desirable but not essential, education provided.
The Position
Registered Nurse- Interview and examine the patient, documenting the assessment findings.- Whilst promoting an environment of confidence, confidentiality and respect, identify through discussion with the patient, family and relevant others, actual and potential problems.- Assess and document the anticipated needs of the patient and family during and following hospitalisation.- Routinely monitor the results of diagnostic procedures and investigations.- Assist in the assessing of complicated nursing problems guiding Graduate Nurses, Nursing Affiliates and Nursing Students as needed.
Enrolled Nurse- Responsible for planning and implementing nursing care to meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient.- Consider the needs of the patient for an attractive, comfortable and safe environment.- Whilst promoting an atmosphere of confidence, confidentiality and respect, assist and maintain a high standard of care by assisting the patient with activities of daily living and encouraging appropriate self-care.- Prepare and care for patients receiving specialised treatments for which the nurse is appropriately prepared
Successful applicants will be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Past experience in Oncology or speciality will be highly regarded.

We can offer you- Registered Nurse $68,093 to $96,175 plus 11.5% superannuation- Enrolled Nurse $64,529 to $71,737 plus 11.5% superannuation.- Permanent full-time, part-time and casual positions available- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
