The **Electrical Superintendent**is responsible for leading and coordinating the electrical crews to achieve project electrical objectives and provides assistance to the Electrical Manager in resource allocation, systems, electrical task planning and scheduling.

**The Role Involves**
- coordinate tasks, allocation of electrical installation, maintenance, testing and equipment repairs for the shift employees and provide supervision of these activities to ensure compliance with the Standard Work Procedures;
- assist in the investigation of all accidents, incidents, hazard identification and similar events to determine causes and corrective action needed to prevent reoccurrence and complete the necessary reporting;
- ensure electrical employees are utilising with the appropriate protective equipment and clothing to safely operate on site and complete their roles;
- where required, perform hands on electrical duties including assemble, install from blueprints, sketches or diagrams, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and associated electrical controls;
- ensure ongoing effective people management of the electrical team by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and development for employees through training;
- prepare monthly cost forecasts and budgets based on planned maintenance requirements;
- liaise with Client Representatives as required, in a professional manner.

**We are looking for**
- Mechanical Trades Qualification or relevant Tertiary Qualifications;
- experience in an underground mining environment;
- Experience with managing a team of mechanical personnel;
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Able to prioritise and schedule tasks according to changing priorities
- Ability to hold and maintain a national police clearance certificate;
- Valid manual drivers licence;
- A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, **Consider it done — safely**.
