Microbiologist

**Your impact**

9-month contract role. We're looking for a skilled **Microbiologist** to deliver microbiological testing, hygiene support, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), and instrumentation maintenance services across our Yatala site. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of product safety and quality, ensuring all microbiological practices and equipment maintenance align with regulatory and company requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct microbiological testing in line with HACCP and Quality Plans and provide timely, accurate trend reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GLP and food safety programs by maintaining accurate records and following best practices.
- Support site-wide hygiene initiatives and collaborate with contractors and internal teams to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination.
- Lead and participate in GMP inspections, taste sessions, and continuous improvement activities.
- Provide education and guidance to line teams on microbiological hazards, risk mitigation, and hygiene practices.

**About You**
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (Microbiology) or a related field.
- Experience in food and beverage manufacturing is preferred.
- Familiarity with brewery processes is highly desirable.
- In-depth understanding of food safety programs (HACCP) and hygiene principles in manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with problem-solving and root cause analysis in laboratory or production settings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
