The Department of Health and Aged Care (Health) administers the largest volume and value of grant funded initiatives across Government. Grants across the Department are often complex and deal with priority populations or issues (e.g., Aged Care, First Nations, emergency response support).

In part recognition of this, Health is establishing a more standardised and centralised approach to improve the efficiency of grant administration across the Department. Incremental roll-out of the new model began on 1 July 2024.

There are vacancies at the EL1 level in the Grant Assessment Centre for a Grant Assessment Manager and a Grants Support Manager.
A merit list will be formed from this process and may be used to fill other positions within the Grants Branch.

Reporting to the Director of the Grant Assessment Centre, as an EL1 Manager you will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely and compliant grant assessments and support functions for a range of Health grant opportunities.
