**About the role**:
Take this opportunity to complete a rotation throughout Flinders Medical Centre and Royal Darwin Hospital as an Advanced Trainee in Cardiology. Reporting to the Cardiology Network Director, this role will be involved in providing clinical services of the highest possible standard to medicine patients of Flinders Medical Centre both in terms of individual performance and by contributing to a multi-disciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care. Duties for the role will include:

- Provide appropriate clinical care to patients,
- Coordinate the follow up care of patients,
- Active involvement in teaching and supervision of junior medical staff, residents, interns and medical students,
- Conduct of research and clinical audits.

**About you**:

- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent,
- Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration,
- Ability to work within broadly defined guidelines and exercise a degree of autonomy in the discharge of duties requiring limited direction,
- Understanding of basic ethical and legal issues of duty of care and practice in health care settings,
- Previous experience in providing comprehensive and confidential office management function in a large health orientated organisation

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-month allocation as Advanced Trainee will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.
