About the role
Permanent full time and part time opportunity to work as part of a dental team and provide a high standard of efficient and appropriate assistance and support as needed in the treatment of Metro North Oral Health Services (MNOHS) patients. Ability to prepare instruments and materials utilised in a variety of dental procedures including knowledge and understanding of the stages within a dental procedure and the ability to pre-plan and adapt as treatment proceeds.
About you
- Ensure equipment and surgery satisfy Infection Control Standards through utilising standard and additional precautions, decontamination procedures, barrier wrapping, utilise protocol for managing blood and body substance spills. Ensure the use of Infection Control protocols and relevant standards for cleaning, disinfection, and sterilising reusable medical devices and for the disposal of surgery waste.
- Attend and provide a high level of assistance to the Dentists or Dental Specialists and other staff in an Operating Theatre environment.
- May perform triaging and management of patients and high-volume workloads in both community and school environments.
