Sydney- Wealth Management- PermanentThis leading global broker is looking for someone to manager their Equity Settlements team in Sydney. The team is responsible for movement of securities and cash to settle trades with stock exchanges, brokers and clients both domestically and internationally.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the settlements team including the setting of team Objectives
- Monitor and Manage financial breaks and reconciliations across Bank accounts for domestic markets
- Monitor and Manage settlements (pending and failing) and bad debtors across our clients accounts
- Contribute to system and process improvements, including the coordination of system testing
- Ensure the business’s and regulatory policies are followed by all members of the Settlements Team
- Contribute and build best practice model for our clients settlement business
- Authorisation of daily cash payments and movements
- Analysis of business processes and controls
- Ad hoc project work
- Adapt to changing business requirements / new business requirement as necessary

**Our client is looking for high calibre people who possess the following competencies**:

- Minimum 4 years financial markets experience, ideally in an Equity Settlements or Operations role with a broker dealer
- Exposure to CHESS required
- Extremely accurate and reliable
- Self motivated
- Ability to analyse Settlements Risk and take appropriate action to escalate issues
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with local custodians, internal business units and client service groups on market issues
- Ability to work in a fluid team environment and within tight deadlines
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to maintain communication and build rapport with offshore colleagues
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to provide high levels of client service
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and project manage daily workflow
