Building Surveyor Cadet

**Status**:Full-time, Nominal Term of 24 months

**Salary**:Cadet - $72,265.74 per annum + 11.5% superannuation

**Purpose**:
To be eligible for this cadetship you must be currently enrolled and completing a Degree or Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying and be in your penultimate or final year.

**About the role**:

- Assessment of customer enquiries and complaints relating to building certification, compliance and fire safety
- Assist in the implementation of Council’s building certification, compliance and fire safety programs
- Respond to correspondence, enquiries and complaints and deal with customers in an effective, efficient and courteous way.

**About you**:

- Understanding of the planning, building certification and regulatory provisions in the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 & Regulations and the National Construction Code (Building Code of Australia).
- Ability to effectively manage a wide range of projects with mínimal supervision with strict deadlines, while balancing competing priorities
- Have good analytical skills, time management skills and attention to detail.
