**About the Role**:
A rare and permanent Data Analytics Developer role reporting to the team Lead Data Analytics is now available within our Electricity Networks. This role is also known as Smart Grid Analyst/Developer. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide Cross Division Operational Support for day-to-day needs
**What you’ll deliver**:
- Be part of high-level design of solutions to ensure use case meets business requirements
- Provide Subject matter expert guidance (database level) across all Dashboards, Metering, Asset and Network automation related systems
- Coordinate business requirements across the divisions and provide data extracts or self-serve reporting and dashboards where appropriate in support of our Intelligent Utility strategy
- Work collaboratively with Information Technology (IT) to design supportable use cases and associated architecture while adhering to all the security guidelines
- Liaise with the relevant SMEs and other technical and specialist resources where required
**To succeed in this role you’ll have**:
- Degree qualification in Computer Science/IT
- High level working knowledge of SQL databases and programming (Postgres and Oracle preferred)
- Strong experience in building, delivering and maintaining business intelligence reports and dashboards using Tableau & SQL
- Experience in Python programming preferred
- Experience in working with packages for data extraction and generating reports for business users
- Innovative, solution orientated approach with a can-do attitude
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to convey complex concepts in an easy-to-understand format
- Good understanding of GIS Systems (Preference of Smallworld)
- Good understanding of Asset management Systems (Preference of SAP)
- Previous experience in the Utilities sector preferred
