**Freight Lead - Pinkenba**

We have an exciting opportunity for applicants with a passion for freight and logistics Working from our Pinkenba office, we are looking for a Freight Lead to join our tight knit team in ensuring a smooth freight operation for Australia. This role is pivotal to the success of our business and most importantly, our customers operations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct negotiations with new vendors and make sure they are compliant with regards to trade, processes, safety, Code of Conduct and agreements. Partly in cooperation with regional and global teams
- Participate and support Freight RFQs
- Continuously improving Freight processes and procedures and carrying the changes through
- Various projects related to freight
- Manage Freight related tasks
- The Management of a Team and workload allocation to ensure the requirements of the Business is met.
- Communication to internal/external customers regarding progress on all Logistics Freight issues.
- Ensure that orders are delivered within the required delivery times against mínimal logistics costs by using appropriate modes of transportation as well as proactive scheduling of orders.

**To be successful, you need to have**

A minimum 5 years of freight operations experience, whilst not essential a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field would be highly regarded. You are an expert user of Aurora and DI systems and have good working knowledge of international trade terms and compliance. Previous experience in managing logistics service providers and negotiating with a range of stakeholders is highly desirable.
