**Primary Objectives**:

- Maintain and enhance digital research databases and other library collections and deliver quality client services across the State.
- Actively support the strategic direction of the Parliamentary Library as a committed team member.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Support the Director and Senior Librarians to provide client-focused information services in a dynamic environment.
- Engage in strategic policy development for collection and heritage collection management.
- Assess, select, acquire, capture, manipulate and catalogue data to build and maintain digital databases for all types of formats including books, serials, digital media clips, and TV clips etc..
- Support daily operations, including media monitoring and offer support to our Research and Information Services.
- Gather and analyse library management statistics to inform and improve service delivery and innovation.
- Participate in continuing professional development to maintain relevant levels of knowledge and skills, represent our services to clients, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

**What We're Looking For**:

- Proven experience in collection management, both physical and electronic.
- Exceptional communication skills, with demonstrated negotiation and client engagement skills.
- A proactive team player who can also work independently, committed to professional growth.
- Strong project management abilities, adept at problem-solving and working under pressure.
- An understanding or willingness to learn about the workings of Parliament and government.
