**MMG Rosebery Mine** is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in the west coast of Tasmania, Australia. It has been at the heart of the Rosebery community since 1936 and is one of Tasmania’s largest and oldest continuously operating, underground mines producing zinc, copper and lead concentrates, as well as gold doré.

It supports approximately 500 workers and their families, has a strong community focus and engages a wide range of local businesses from across Tasmania in its supply chain boosting the economy of the West Coast of Tasmania and beyond.

**Underground Operator** - **Civil Crew/Mine Services Underground**

We are currently recruiting multiple Operators for the Mine Services Team at MMG Rosebery. The role reports to the applicable Shift Supervisor and the accountabilities will include specific tasks related to your area of operation.
- Manual Loader
- Grader
- Charge Up
- Services

This role is offered on 7 Days on 7 Days off Day Shift on a DIDO basis.

**Skills and Experience**

To be considered for this role you will have minimum of 3 Years’ experience in underground mining, with a strong emphasis in a mechanised underground mining operation techniques and experience on the equipment and tasks listed above. You will be able to demonstrate problem solving skills in a team environment.

As a team member you will have the ability to communicate clearly and conduct detailed handovers with supervisors, cross shift and other relevant departments. You will also have a basic understanding of mining targets & priority projects to ensure targets are met. You will be expected to work both alone and in a team environment with Safety and the wellbeing of others your number one priority.

- Previous underground mining experience is essential.
- Extensive knowledge off underground mining equipment and techniques.
- Experience using underground heavy machinery.
- A manual C Class driver’s license.
- First aid certificate - desirable.
