Our environment is one in which high performance is expected, in return, we will provide you with rewards and opportunities tailored to your personal and professional goals. **The Opportunity** **Head of eDiscovery, Digital Legal Delivery** We are looking for a Head of eDiscovery to join our Digital Legal Delivery Team in either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth. This is a senior strategic role, delivering eDiscovery services and providing client-facing leadership for our firm's Digital Legal Delivery business. Reporting to the Associate Director, Legal Technology (Australia) ("AD"), this position includes direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of the eDiscovery team in the region. **Some of the key responsibilities for this role will include the following**: **Clients/ Business Development** - Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the local Partners and CRMs across the national Australian HSF practice. Promoting the full eDiscovery offering to them, in consultation and collaboration with relevant peer(s), to maximise the opportunity for the firm's clients to benefit from Digital Legal Delivery services. - Leading projects that develop new business in the region across all sectors **Legal Technology** - Supporting the Digital Legal Delivery Technology Roadmap programme and the Digital Legal Delivery Sharedo programme. **Reporting** - Proactive, timely and accurate reporting to the AD and Partner on performance in the region in respect of: - The eDiscovery budget, Finance/Revenue and profitability - Utilisation - Resourcing/recruitment including recommendations - People/HR/Team management issues - Work and Pipeline - Business Development Opportunities - Matter management (including any quality issues) **Strategic Leadership** - Providing inspired leadership and clear direction to teams ensuring a collaborative approach to achieve the firm's objectives and promote a positive perception of HSF and Digital Legal Delivery to clients. - Leading and developing a culture within eDiscovery to support the attraction, development, performance and retention of the highest calibre employees. **Financial Management** - Achieving revenue growth while maintaining strong margins, with specific revenue and margin targets to be set on an annual basis by the Digital Legal Delivery Executive. - Managing the Legal Technology annual budget. - Providing pricing models and cost estimates to the AD, working with the Digital Legal Delivery finance team and the HSF pricing team. **Risk Management** - Ensuring the business is aware of potential risks and that appropriate risk assessment is part of the process for taking on new work, using new technology, or using technology in new ways. **Qualifications, skills and experience** - Have a track record of successfully leading an eDiscovery team. An ability to help deliver a high performance culture among a group of diverse, talented, technically excellent individuals will be crucial. - Be a process-minded individual, demonstrating excellence in client service delivery for both internal legal teams and external clients, including managing the processes and delivery of work. - Excellent understanding of the eDiscovery software market and the legal framework of eDiscovery, existing protocols, practices and relevant legal standards. - Proven skills in operational business growth and planning, able to spot and develop new business opportunities. - People management skills in a law firm or commercial legal environment managing team members in and out of region. - Experience of resourcing, project managing and motivating large teams to tight deadlines. - High level of attention to detail with the ability to step back and see problems, opportunities and trends. - Strong creative and analytical ability, coupled with sound judgement to balance multiple factors and solve complex problems. **The team**: Our Digital Legal Delivery combines the best analytical legal minds backed by investments in cutting-edge tools and technologists.
