**The Opportunity**:
MIGAS is proud to partner with **Johnson Controls**, a global leader in providing security products and services that ensure the safety of people, facilities, and assets.

We are currently seeking a Security Equipment Apprentice in **Melbourne **who is tech-savvy and has a genuine interest in working in a rapidly evolving technological industry.

**Job Details**:
Very few security equipment apprenticeships offer the comprehensive range of skills and knowledge that Johnson Controls does - from controls to intrusion detection, from video surveillance to digital and emerging technologies.

In this apprenticeship, you will learn how to commission, install, maintain, and repair both wired and wireless security systems in commercial and industrial premises. You will also learn how to interpret drawings, diagrams, schedules, standards, codes, and specifications in a security equipment setting.

By completing this **four-year apprenticeship**, you will become a qualified Security Installation Technician and earn your **UEE31420 Certificate III in Security Equipment** qualification.

**About You**:
Ideally you will have:

- Ability to obtain a security licence (essential)
- A passion for a career in a changing technological industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Previous experience or a Certificate II in Electrotechnology looked upon favourably
- Punctuality and reliability
- Elevating work platform (EWP) licence preferred but not essential
- Excellent safety awareness
- Current driver's licence P Plate min
- Construction White Card (essential)
- Ability to successfully pass a Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen and a Police Check
