**Full Job Description**

The Role

As a **Disability Support Worker** with **Ayul Community Care**, you’ll play a vital role in providing **high-quality, person-centred care** to our participants. You will support individuals with physical, intellectual, and mental health disabilities to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible — both at home and in the community.

Criteria & Skills
- **Female applicants only** (participant preference)
- Comfortable with **personal care** (e.g. toileting, bathing, feeding)
- **Empathetic, person-centred approach** — treating participants with dignity and respect
- Excellent **oral and written communication skills** (e.g. shift notes, forms)
- **Reliable, punctual, and compassionate**:

- **Training will be provided**
- Preferred (not essential):_
- Background in disability, aged care, mental health, nursing, or early childhood
- Experience supporting children with **epilepsy**:

- Patience and strong communication when working with young children

Essential Requirements
- Willingness to travel around **Thornleigh, NSW 2120**:

- **NDIS Worker Screening Check**:

- **Working With Children Check (WWCC)**:

- **First Aid & CPR** certification
- **ABN** (ability to work as an independent contractor)
- Highly regarded:_
- Certificate III/IV in **Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, or Early Childhood Education**

Schedule
- **Wednesdays**: 8 AM - 5 PM
- **Saturdays**: 12 PM - 8 PM
- **Saturdays**: Overnight shift 10 PM - 6 AM
- _Optional cover shifts available on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays_
