**CNC Programmer/Operator - Metal Machinist**

Hamilton Engineering is an established engineering company strategically located in the Australian Marine complex, Henderson WA. We are currently seeking a suitably qualified, motivated and experienced CNC machinist preferably with Okuma programming and operating skills to start immediately.
- Machining Trade Qualification
- CNC programming and operating skills with 3 years minimum experience
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Ability to understand and adhere to organisational policies and procedures
- Accurate attention to detail
- Problem-solving, decision-making and organising skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- A working knowledge of health, safety and quality systems
- A good level of physical fitness
- A Current drivers’ licence is preferable for the role
- Punctual, reliable and able to work additional hours when required
- The ability of pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
- Enthusiasm, responsibility and pride in what you do

Tasks will include:

- Understanding of engineering drawings and ability to perform inspections
- Machine components to client requirements in an accurate and timely manner utilising CNC lathes and mills
- Programme various jobs/tasks utilising CAM software
- Receive daily instructions, job tasks and schedules
- Review job tasks/schedules to determine work specifications, required resources and delivery goals
- Determine job task tooling requirements
- Control job documentation and workshop drawings ensuring job tasks and inspections are signed and dated, and the job pack is returned to the office for processing
- Ensure all work is inspected at the determined intervals
- Work a reasonable amount of overtime as and when required
- Embrace a safety culture, ensuring adherence to all safety and environmental policies and procedures

This a great opportunity to join a widely recognised and respected engineering company that has been in operation for over 50 years with a proposed salary range of $69,160 - $75,000.

**Salary**: From $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- CNC programming and Operating: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
